Classiq and QAI Launch Sovereign Quantum-as-a-Service Offering for South Korean Enterprise Market
Quantum software provider Classiq has executed a multi-year commercial partnership agreement with South Korean deep-tech data center specialist QAI Co., Ltd. to launch the nation's first localized Quantum-as-a-Service (QaaS) platform. Arranged in Seoul by QAI Chief Executive Officer Seman Im and Classiq Vice President of Asia Pacific Akira Tanaka, the joint business model links Classiq’s enterprise-grade quantum compilation engine directly with QAI’s high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) data center nodes. The integrated cloud footprint is engineered to allow South Korean public institutions, research consortia, and private enterprises to design, benchmark, and deploy cross-platform quantum applications while strictly maintaining regional data residency requirements.
┌──► Software Platform: Classiq's SOC 2 automated functional model-to-circuit compiler.
[ QaaS Layers ] ──┼──► Cloud Infrastructure: QAI's hyperscale and edge data centers via DCK & DCP.
└──► Market Operations: Localized branding, customer acquisition, and engineering tracks.
The underlying technical stack leverages Classiq’s SOC 2-accredited agentic quantum software engineering platform. Rather than requiring developers to manually write low-level gate instructions, Classiq's compiler automatically synthesizes high-level functional algorithmic models into hardware-optimized quantum circuits tailored for specific backends. By routing this software layer through QAI's local infrastructure network—which is backed by strategic partnerships with data center operators DCK and DCP—the joint offering establishes a sovereign quantum cloud architecture. This deployment pattern mitigates data sovereignty risks, allowing defense, banking, and public sector procurement teams to run complex hybrid quantum-classical algorithms on-shore without transferring sensitive transaction metadata across international borders.
Under the operational division of the contract, QAI will manage the localized go-to-market lifecycle under its proprietary corporate brand, absorbing full responsibility for regional customer acquisition, technical service operations, and local ecosystem scale-outs. The hybrid computing platform focuses heavily on Quantum Utility optimization applications, including multi-variable financial portfolio rebalancing, pharmaceutical drug candidate discovery, and logistics route modeling. To support this rollout, Classiq will deliver dedicated backend engineering support, developer training, and mid-to-long-term technical enablement frameworks to accelerate quantum application readiness across major industrial conglomerates throughout East Asia.
[ Corporate Capitalization & Clients ]
Total VC & CVC Backing ──► Surpassed $200 Million USD (Secured across multi-stage funding blocks)
Institutional Backers ──► SoftBank, AMD, Qualcomm, HSBC, Samsung NEXT, and Mirae Asset Capital
Enterprise Customers ──► Rolls-Royce, Comcast, The BMW Group, and Intesa Sanpaolo
The commercial agreement surfaces as Classiq, directed by CEO and Co-Founder Nir Minerbi, continues to scale its global multi-cloud delivery architecture. The software developer has secured more than $200 million USD in cumulative venture backing from prominent global funds, including the European Innovation Council (EIC), SoftBank, AMD Ventures, Qualcomm Ventures, HSBC, Samsung NEXT, and Mirae Asset Capital. These capitalized reserves support Classiq’s "design once, deploy anywhere" interoperability model, ensuring that enterprise algorithms built within the new South Korean QaaS pipeline remain natively portable across any major hardware platform, hyperscale cloud environment, or upcoming fault-tolerant processor array worldwide.
