IonQ and Congruity360 Execute $8.18 Million Commercial Quantum-Safe Network Agreement
IonQ and Congruity360 have entered an $8.18 million agreement to implement a quantum-safe network, integrating post-quantum cryptography and hardware-based quantum key distribution. This collaboration aims to secure Congruity360's data governance platform across various environments, protecting sensitive enterprise data from future decryption threats. The initiative aligns with federal mandates for post-quantum compliance and expands IonQ's commercial quantum networking presence in high-compliance sectors.

Quantum hardware and security provider IonQ (NYSE: IONQ) and unstructured data management firm Congruity360 have signed an $8.18 million commercial agreement to deploy a defense-in-depth quantum-safe network architecture. The partnership represents one of the largest commercial quantum security transactions in the United States to date, integrating post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and hardware-based quantum key distribution (QKD) to protect enterprise data assets.
Under the terms of the agreement, IonQ will supply its Clavis QKD pairs and Solteris Network Appliances to secure Congruity360's data governance platform across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. The combined deployment establishes physics-based symmetric key generation and zero-trust key management to secure petabyte-scale unstructured data streams in transit, protecting sensitive enterprise records against long-term "harvest now, decrypt later" decryption threats.
The commercial rollout aligns with accelerating federal regulatory mandates, including the Executive Order pulling U.S. federal agency and contractor post-quantum compliance deadlines forward to 2030. Targeting high-compliance verticals—including financial services, healthcare, defense, and legal infrastructure—the deployment expands IonQ's commercial quantum networking footprint alongside its regional network projects with Florida LambdaRail, Cisco in Switzerland, and national infrastructure across Europe.
