Qedma Integrates QESEM Error Mitigation Software with Quantinuum Platform

Quantum software provider Qedma has announced a technical integration with Quantinuum, making its Quantum Error Suppression and Error Mitigation (QESEM) platform directly available across Quantinuum’s trapped-ion hardware systems. Developed over the past year through Qedma’s role as a founding member of the Quantinuum Startup Partner Program, the integration combines Qedma’s hardware-agnostic noise-reduction algorithms with Quantinuum’s high-fidelity quantum CCD (QCCD) architecture. The joint solution aims to enhance circuit accuracy, enabling enterprise and research users to run deeper, more complex quantum workloads across chemistry, materials science, and financial modeling.
Quantinuum’s systems are widely recognized for achieving high average two-qubit gate fidelities, making them strong candidates for algorithms approaching the limits of classical simulation. However, as quantum circuits scale in depth and qubit count, cumulative hardware noise remains a key constraint for utility-scale applications. The integration of QESEM directly addresses these scaling bottlenecks:
Suppression and Mitigation: QESEM applies characterization, transpilation, and unbiased mitigation techniques to reduce error rates in quantum output without adding excessive sampling overhead.
Complex Workload Execution: In initial validation runs on Quantinuum hardware, QESEM demonstrated measurable fidelity improvements on complex quantum simulations, allowing researchers to push closer to classical computational boundaries.
Seamless Workflow: The integration allows enterprise developers using Quantinuum's software ecosystem to deploy Qedma's error mitigation stack directly into their existing job submission pipelines.
Founded by CEO Dr. Asif Sinay alongside quantum fault-tolerance pioneer Prof. Dorit Aharonov and condensed matter physicist Prof. Netanel Lindner, Qedma focuses on software-driven noise reduction to bridge the gap between noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices and full fault tolerance. For Quantinuum, the alliance reinforces its strategy of pairing its QCCD hardware stack with third-party software tools to accelerate ecosystem adoption and time-to-market for enterprise end-users.
