Qblox Launches U.S. Manufacturing for Quantum Control Systems

Qblox has established a domestic manufacturing and fulfillment hub in Canton, Massachusetts, through a strategic partnership with Prodrive Technologies. Effective April 1, 2026, the company will begin shipping its first "Made in America" quantum control systems, aiming to strengthen supply-chain resilience for the U.S. quantum sector. This expansion follows Qblox's 2025 entry into the Boston market and is designed to align with federal procurement standards, compliance protocols, and specific funding requirements from the Department of Energy and National Laboratories.
The transition to onshore production addresses critical logistical challenges by reducing lead times and improving shipping efficiency for North American researchers and industrial partners. By localizing manufacturing and systems integration, Qblox provides a secure supply chain and direct technical support for institutions driving quantum innovation. The Canton facility also contributes to regional workforce development, creating skilled technical roles across manufacturing, logistics, and customer support to sustain the high-tech infrastructure necessary for utility-scale quantum computing.
Technically, the Qblox "Made in America" line focuses on the Cluster, an open-architecture control stack engineered to support hundreds of qubits with ultra-low-latency arbitrary control flows. This hardware serves as the "control engine" for diverse qubit modalities, including superconducting and trapped-ion systems. By manufacturing these systems in Massachusetts, Qblox reinforces its role as a primary infrastructure provider, ensuring that breakthrough technologies can be developed, built, and deployed at scale within the American innovation ecosystem.
