QuSecure Awarded Position on $151B Missile Defense Agency SHIELD Contract

QuSecure, Inc. has been awarded a contract for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) program. This indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract, which features a total ceiling of $151 billion, establishes a framework for the rapid delivery of advanced capabilities across a wide range of defense work areas. The award validates QuSecure’s ability to scale its post-quantum cryptographic (PQC) solutions within large, integrated defense architectures and follows its successful deployment of cryptographic layers for tactical networks within the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force.
The technical focus of QuSecure’s participation centers on providing a scalable, quantum-resistant overlay for distributed defense networks using its QuProtect R3™ platform. The system implements NIST-standardized PQC algorithms to secure data-in-motion against both classical and future quantum-based threats. Key features include centralized cryptographic management, which enables automated discovery and inventory of cryptographic assets, and dynamic policy-driven encryption. This architecture allows for the implementation of PQC between applications, servers, and endpoints without requiring disruptive re-architecting of underlying mission-critical systems.
By providing a "common operating picture" for cryptography, QuSecure facilitates the transition to crypto-agile environments as required by federal mandates such as CNSA 2.0. The QuProtect R3 platform is designed to defend against adversary Computer Network Operations (CNO) by providing resilient, zero-trust network encryption. This award positions QuSecure as a primary provider for future-proofing missile defense infrastructure, ensuring that legacy and future IT systems can maintain continuous compliance and security as global encryption standards evolve to address the quantum threat.
